When you vote this election, it’s important to know who will stand up for your rights at work.
At the end of July, we sent all political parties currently in Parliament some key questions about working people’s rights – and whether they will stand up to support them.
They were asked about 6 key areas where they can make working life in New Zealand better for everyone:
- Safer Sick Leave
- Four Weeks Redundancy
- Fair Pay Agreements
- Health and Safety
- Stronger Public Services
- Living Wage
Four of the parties – Greens, National, New Zealand First and Labour – completed the survey (ACT chose not to complete it but has sent links to their policy documents).
Based on their answers we've graded them as follows.
And you can see their official survey responses below.
- New Zealand First
- ACT’s policy links, with key excerpts that relate to working people’s rights.
