Living Wage for Resene

Sign our Community Petition to Call on Resene Paints to Become a Living Wage Employer

The Living Wage Movement, united with Resene workers, is calling on Resene Paints and majority shareholder Nick Nightingale to ensure the company becomes an Accredited Living Wage Employer.

We need your support. By signing this petition, you are showing that you stand with Resene workers at the Naenae and Upper Hutt sites as they urge the company to do the right thing and pay a Living Wage.

Workers like Margret say, "People think that because we work at Resene, we earn good money, but we simply don't. If I earned the Living Wage, I could do less overtime and have a better life."

Community leaders like Lillan Pak, chair of the Team Naenae Trust, say, "A community is not whole if workers don’t have enough money in their pockets… It benefits all of us and allows our community to thrive if workers get a Living Wage."

We are proud of Resene Paints as a Kiwi company that sponsors various charitable organisations, the Hurricanes, and the arts community.

But we want to be even prouder by knowing that the company pays its staff enough to live a decent life.
