We are looking for people who want to share what Fair Pay Agreements means to them. This might be in the media (TV, radio or newspapers) or for social media stories. We’d love to hear from everyone and we’re particularly keen to hear from people who work in the industries where FPAs are currently underway. Will you help us out?

Please share what FPAs means to you below, or leave your details so we can get in touch.

FPAs aren’t perfect, but they support very disadvantaged workers. They make things fair for good employers.

I’m signing because all people whom put in thier most valuable asset (thier time) deserves to recive more than pennies.

Most people dedicate most of thier life to working, they all definitely deserve the right to fair pay, and in the end they may be able to at least have a comfortable retirement in return for all thier time served making money for the country not just thier own homes.

It means the ones who do these selfless jobs get paid what they should be entitled to! Fair pay agreement policy meant that someone who’s job it is to care for others such as elderly and young children would be paid an actual living wage! These workers deserve the mana to be able to provide for thier families just like some admin doing fuck all is able to. These types of jobs are mentally draining and requires unselfishness to do them. No one should have to do a job like this without the right to a living wage! People who clean up the streets deserve this as well! All the people working jobs that no one else wants to should be entitled to a living wage period! It’s a political desicion that determines whether nz does the right thing. How about fund it with the excess amount of money over the living wage of the salaries politicians recieve from nz tax payers!

After so much hard work to reach these agreements, it is ridiculous that the Government seeks to punish those who earn the least. These are the people that were there for everyone and considered front line throughout the pandemic!!! If the government chooses to cut wages, they should look at their own first. We the People do not wish to pay a Government that does not have out best interests at heart the ridiculous amount of money they receive.

All the power for pay and conditions is skewed towards the employer

Fair pay agreements give our lowest paid workers a chance at getting a fair deal for a fair days work

This new coalition government espouses that with hard work you can get ahead. Well that’s not the case if you aren’t paid a living wage.

We need to foster the view a teacher is a teacher is a teacher. No matter where you teach you are making an impact on lives and the future of our country. It’s terrible the disparity when you all work hard for a 3 year degree and can teach across all codes but get paid, in some cases, up to $8-9 difference! You can’t get a job without an education and you can’t get quality education without qualified well supported teachers.

I am sure your message matters. But could you be more careful with your use of acronyms. I do not even know what NZCTU stands for.. then the heading ECE day of action although it did say so in the description. Why put PSA Christmas event. Just Christmas Event for Public Servants was sufficient.

a set of letters are not easy to read. words are. Typing words is not difficult either. Everyone uses keyboards so words are easy.
